Customer service is the cleanest example. The AI handles routine; the human handles judgment, escalation, and the hard conversations. The leadership skill is training humans for the work AI can't do — empathy, repair, ownership — not for the work AI just took.

The stack is now agent-first or it's a problem.
Every tool you bought in 2019 assumed humans were the user. Every tool you should buy in 2026 assumes agents are. That changes the audit. That changes the buying criteria. That changes what 'integration' even means. The right tech stack is the one your agents can drive end-to-end.

Hiring junior is harder. Don't pretend it isn't.
The entry-level work AI is best at is also the work people used to learn the craft on. There's no easy answer. But pretending the apprenticeship model still works is how teams lose their pipeline silently. The new model: hire for judgment, train on real exception cases, and pay more per role for fewer roles.

Culture happens when nobody's in the room.
Hybrid teams of humans + agents change what 'team' even is. The norms, the rituals, the way people talk to each other — none of that auto-translates to a world where half the contributors don't have lunch breaks. Leaders who treat culture as an afterthought lose the humans they need most.
